Continental 6. Transistor Radio Kit

From the early 1960's another 6 transistor kit to be made.
Many transistor radio kits were on sale at this time for the simple reason that commercial sets made by UK manufacturers were so expensive. As the advertisements for the kits point out you could save up to Ł10 pounds by building your own. And in 1962 this sum was a weeks pay for a lot of people. Plus the hobby was at its post war peak.
However cheap Japanese sets were just around the corner and for many of the UK manufacturers times were about to get very difficult.
