The Clyne Radio Super Transistor Crystal Receiver from 1960 |
|
|
From the February 1960 issue of Radio Constructor. This is a Crystal Receiver Kit with one transistor as well that was advertised for sale by Clyne Radio Ltd of London. The transistor is a White Spot and is used for audio amplification. The set is described as being 'Regenerative' in its action. It was priced at £1.7.6 (One pound, seven shillings and Six pence) but you had to pay 12 shillings and sixpence for an earpiece. Described of 'as of interest to the beginer', they may have had slight problems with adjusting C4 and changing the value of C3 to get it to work. |
